Ladies in Red have been submitted to Perform @ BIG EVENTS such as West Coast Salsa Congress; May 2010, Palm Springs Salsa Extravaganza; August 2010, and Hawaii Salsa Festival; February 2011. This all female Salsa Group developed from a Ladies Styling & Musicality Performance Class, taught, choreographed and directed by Christina Haggerty in 2007. Christina adds new members periodically; the next open window for new dancers to apply is now and mid January, so stay tuned to this page or e-mail Christina right away to get on board. The routine is about 3 minutes long and is a strong Intermediate level with advanced styling. We will also be having an amateur performance team as well so that all levels can perform. NEW this season - Ladies in RED is merging with Salsa Fina for this season..

PHASE 1 salsa Fina Auditions/ Rehearsals/ Performances; Monday, January 4th, 2010

PHASE 2: Ladies in RED Styling Workshops: 2 hour workshops will work on styling, ladies footwork, turns and technique. You will be introduced to some of the choreography here to see if this season is a fit on your part and mine. Workshop dates are Jan 31, and February 7th 11am-1pm @ Millennium Dance Complex, 5113 Lankershim North Hollywood CA $20 per session.

PHASE 3: Ladies in RED and Salsa Fina Groups Merge to perform all over Los Angeles; Dates and Times in additions to Big events above may also include the locations below and local venues including Olivia's, Wherehouse, Zanzibar, Granada, Sportman's Lodge, Air Conditioned, Clave Lab,

PERFORMERS
Rehearsal Locations: Sundays in the Valley, and one weekday evening most likely @ Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood. After every rehearsal, we will have performers meetings(probably half hour long). Please bring your calendars. These are to keep you informed, to answer questions, and at times work on costumes. My expectation for all dancers is that you commit to being at the group rehearsals, give me your best and work hard in & practice on own outside rehearsals.

Shows -The shows don't cost anything and most are not paid, however I will welcome any paid show that may come along during this time.

COST / INVESTMENT AMOUNTS: Performers Only
Workshos: $20 per workshops date; 2 hours of instruction. Rehearsals: $20 per week meeting 2 times - Sunday 2 hour rehearsal and one 1 hour rehearsal; Also covers the studio, music editing, and 2 hour intensive group private. Can save money if monthly amount is paid in advanced.

Costumes
Total for Costumes will probably end up at around $100 or less; this includes pants, shorts, or leggings, top shirt and/or vest, Rhine Stone Accessories, hat and Gloves. This will be due mid April 2010.

LA Congress Pass
Full Event Pass is required; $125 includes all the workshops, plus pool parties and evening events with live bands and guest DJ's every night. Normal Attendees are paying $250-$350 for this same pass. Deadline for this amount is March. The above llisted prices are subject to change.
